Common questions
For most standard incorporations, ACRA approves the application within 1–3 working days. We typically submit within 24 hours of receiving all required documents and KYC information. Expedited processing is available for an additional fee.
No. The entire incorporation process can be completed remotely. You will need to provide certified copies of identity documents, but you do not need to be in Singapore. Our Foreign Founder package also includes a nominee director service for companies that require a locally-resident director.
Under the Singapore Companies Act, every company must appoint a qualified company secretary within 6 months of incorporation. The corporate secretary ensures the company complies with the Companies Act — filing the Annual Return, maintaining statutory registers, facilitating AGMs, and lodging any changes to directors or shareholders with ACRA.
GST registration becomes compulsory when your taxable turnover exceeds S$1 million in the past 12 months, or when you can reasonably expect to exceed that threshold in the next 12 months. Voluntary registration is also available and can sometimes be advantageous for claiming input tax credits.
